Use the current KAGE release and the instructions posted in the official Discord. Back up your Roblox place before a large reupload run. Review the destination account or group, selected asset type, and result list before publishing.
Join KAGE Discord ↗01 / Get the official release
Open the KAGE Discord and follow the download instructions posted by the team. The website intentionally links to the community rather than hosting a stale or unauthorized build.
02 / Open KAGE and Roblox Studio
Launch KAGE and open the Roblox Studio place you intend to work on. Follow the current release instructions to authorize your Roblox and Discord accounts. Never paste account cookies, API keys or other credentials into public channels or third-party forms.
03 / Connect the open Studio project
Use the Reuploader tab to connect to the open Studio session. Confirm the displayed project and universe information match the place you intend to modify. If the connection indicator stays offline, refresh the connection and check the troubleshooting guidance in Discord.
04 / Scan and choose assets
Select the asset family you intend to reupload, then scan the project. KAGE can discover supported references in instances and, where recognized by the selected type, Lua script/config source. Scan coverage depends on the reference format and whether Studio can read the relevant source; inspect the found IDs and locations before starting.
05 / Reupload and verify
Choose the destination creator, run the reupload, and review successes and failures. Reference updates are a separate step from uploading: verify the old-to-new mapping and review any script-reference failures or remaining IDs. Test the place in Studio and save only after confirming the result. Make a backup first, especially for large projects.
06 / Asset Viewer and project tools
Use Asset Viewer to inspect supported animation, audio, mesh and image assets. Availability depends on Roblox permissions, asset type and content delivery responses. Use Explorer and Logs to investigate discovered locations and failed operations.
Troubleshooting checklist
- Studio will not connect: confirm Studio is open on the intended place, then reconnect and verify project identity.
- An asset is missing from the scan: refresh the scan and check the reference format and selected asset type. Script/config table discovery depends on the selected asset type and recognizable type context; inspect results before reuploading.
- A script still contains the old ID: check the reupload result mapping and script update failures, then run verification after reconnecting Studio. Do not assume a successful upload means every source reference was changed.
- Upload or access denied: verify the destination creator, the active Roblox identity, asset permissions and required API capabilities.
- Something else is broken: post the KAGE version, selected asset type, relevant redacted logs, and the steps to reproduce in the appropriate Discord support channel. Do not share cookies, tokens or API keys.
